I wish I could turn your bad days into good
if only.. if only I could
I'd take away the complete mess that's given you so much stress
and ask God to give you the best
..even if it's just, for a moment or so
just to let your day flow
a little better than before
though I can't ask for more
but I'm sure,
it'll work out just the way you'd like it to..
I want to paint your face with smiles
even if it was just for awhile
i'd like to replace any trace of anger or sadness
that you possess,
and give you more than you want, nothing less
because you, you don't deserve to be in so much distress
to see your face looking so down
to see your mouth slowly form a frown
it breaks my heart in two,
I just wish, I wished there was something i could do, for you
though sometimes I can't
and sometimes I just have to stand back
and let things be the way there are meant to be
though my mind and my heart won't agree
that there's more than that, that you need
and I'm wishing so much, that I could just be there
right there, just to let you know how much I care
and I swear, because I'd always be your friend as long as I could
and I'll try, try to make your bad days better like I should
because that's what friends are for
and you shouldn't need to ever ask for more.
